I am a doctoral candidate in Communications at Columbia University. I am interested in research topics related to the future of journalism, especially as it relates to news work processes and conceptions of expertise.
Before I arrived at Columbia, I worked as a reporter and host for public radio station WDUQ in Pittsburgh, and commercial station WINA in Charlottesville, Virginia.
I am originally from the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C., near the famous “Mixing Bowl” exit off the Capital Beltway. Yes, that’s where I learned to drive.
